From the Dreamgirls of the Susan Fredman Design Group comes a savvy sitting room used to showcase Kravet’s new and innovative green design solutions.

The room has contemporary lines and is juxtaposed with soft sexy accents. It consists of two seating areas defined by a large sisal rug which creates order and a layored ceiling treatment creating a sense of procession. The palette is enhanced by the lighting, becoming an architectural element following the horizontal lines of the room. Unique detailing crafts the space. A chair rail transitions into artwork frames texture which define the accent walls and the softness of drapery treatments creates friction with the opposing wall.

Leather floor tile, made from scraps of an automotive seat manufacturer forms a lush and rich floor covering. All fabrics, rugs and furniture have a green rating, as well as the wall covering and low VOC paint. This room was designed to provide inspiration to the homeowner while demonstrating that green design truly can be beautiful.
